Director Simon and Intern LuanaWe’re delighted to announce we’ve been officially certified as a Carbon Neutral Company!

Over the summer we employed our Carbon Footprint Data Analyst Intern, Luana, who is studying for a degree in Global Sustainable Development and Education Studies at The University of Warwick.

Working with ClimatePartner we calculated our C02 emissions from spirit production to delivery, trying to minimise our carbon footprint as much as possible and looking at ways to offset what we can’t reduce at present.

There’s still a lot to do but we have started our sustainable journey and we’re already making an impact. From investing in a new electric delivery van and energy efficient stills to using a fully carbon neutral waste management company and offering a bottle re-fill scheme. Best Green Business AwardVoted Stratford’s Best Green Business

We are honoured to have won not one, but four awards at the 2022 Stratford Herald Business & Tourism Awards!

The Awards were held on 27 October at the Crowne Plaza Hotel where we won Best Independent Retailer, Best Green Business, Top Attraction and to top it off were crowned Stratford upon Avon’s Business of the Year 2022.

Having only recently become Carbon Neutral following our full-scale carbon footprint assessment and off-setting programme we are especially proud of winning Best Green Business.

Great Big Green Week

Whether it’s about how much ice you should put in your G&T or climate change, we’re all about raising awareness!

We were proud to be invited by the National Trust to be part of The Green Cabinet Panel at The Fleece Inn at Bretforton during Big Green Week in September.

The evening was hosted by The Fleece Inn’s Nigel Smith and our Brand Ambassador, Sam Evans, joined John Conod from Purity Brewing and Tom Cumberland from Wayside Farm Shop to talk about the changes we’ve made to create local, low-carbon drinks.

Green Man Panel

We are now one of the few carbon neutral distilleries in the UK but we hope this is just the start of a growing number of craft producers who follow this ethos. Sustainability is hugely important to us, both as individuals and as a business, and we’re excited to share our journey with you.
