Meet Hamnet Blue!

We’re very excited to introduce Hamnet Blue, our newest Distillery Special Gin. Created in honour of Hamnet Shakespeare, the only son of William Shakespeare, it launches on Friday 9th January, perfectly timed with the cinema release of Hamnet*.

Hamnet Blue joins its colourful twin, Judith’s Pink Gin, named after Hamnet’s twin sister, Judith Shakespeare. Judith’s Pink Gin was launched in 2022 to celebrate the opening of Judith’s School of Spirits, our town-centre experience space right here in Stratford-upon-Avon. The building at 1 High Street was once Judith Shakespeare’s home, and we love bringing its rich history to life in deliciously modern ways.

What’s inside the bottle?

Hamnet Blue is distilled with a carefully chosen blend of botanicals including Butterfly Pea Flowers, Hibiscus, Lemon Verbena and Thyme, alongside classic gin favourites such as Juniper, Coriander Seed, Lemon Peel and Cubeb. The Butterfly Pea Flowers are steeped into the finished spirit, giving Hamnet Blue its stunning natural colour. Add tonic, and voilà — the gin magically changes colour. It’s a little bit of alchemy in your glass.

Hamnet Blue is a limited distillery release, available in 50cl and 5cl bottles. You’ll be able to buy it online, at our distillery shop, or from our shop at No.1 High Street, Stratford-upon-Avon.

To celebrate, we’re throwing an in-store launch event at our High Street shop, and everyone’s invited.

• Free tastings of Hamnet Blue (and yes, you can watch the colour change happen!)
• A free 5cl miniature of Hamnet Blue for the first 20 customers who make a purchase in store
• A raffle prize draw for anyone spending over £30 online (9th & 10th Jan) or in store (10th Jan), with the chance to win a 50cl bottle of both Hamnet Blue and Judith’s Pink Gin

This is a one-day celebration, a brand-new gin, and the perfect excuse to shake off the January blues with something bold, beautiful, and unmistakably Shakespearean.
